Janet Skenandore-Malcolm is a member of the Oneida Tribe of Indians of Wisconsin. In February 1998 Janet earned the A-CAM Practitioner Certification and has since presented over 150 blending, educational classes & workshops on essential oils and aromatherapy.

1998 to 2001; Janet was the Director of the Tsyunhehkwa (joon henk wa) Center in Oneida, Wisconsin. This is a Native American Wellness Center for organic beef and gardens, a cannery and natural products retail shop.

Janet owned the Native Apothecary in Oneida. It included custom made blends for skin care, Native American Herbal blends and non-toxic products for personal use. She has developed product lines and held aromatherapy classes, in the area. She is know by many as onu'hkwat akso'tha or Medicine Grandmother, her family healing history comes from the ohkwaliha.ka', Medicine Bear Clan.

In 1989 Janet was on the planning committee for an Internal Cultural Trade Mission, which took 150 Wisconsin Indians on a 10-day tour to Stuggart, Germany. The Wisconsin State Tourism, the City of Stuggart and the Linden Museum of Stuggart were involved. Janet returned to Stuggart, March 2009.

Janet has been a professional Native American Seamstress for 25 years of, skirting, Native American traditional clothing and items, along with essential oil dram pouch holders and Ceremonial items.

Last of all, Janet is a member of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) and facilitates a Friday night veteran's support group for veterans diagnose with a mental illness. Janet is a disabled Viet Nam Army Veteran. Through NAMI, Janet also presents IOOV; In Our Own Voice presentations on a life long fight with PTSD and depression. Janet is also trained to teach the NAMI Peer-to-Peer classes.

She brings to her students, a worth of information and Native American Wisdom.
